Joyce's attorney in Fresno, Watters, advised her to remain silent after January 6, 1992 - simply because she could provide truthful testimony. As I understand, on January 6, there were even several phone calls from the prosecutor in Ohio offering Joyce to testify in the Hicks murder case.
This is great!! At first, I was wondering if the traffic stop happened, but they made up the story about Hicks. Based on this evidence, it's pretty clear that traffic stop never happened. I'd bet on that. In the US, once a cop stops a vehicle, as long as the initial traffic stop was justified, they can arrest you for anything, even if it's unrelated to the initial stop. And I know the smell of a dead body. It's unlike any other smell in the world. There's no way a garbage bag would contain the stench!!
Indeed! It's incredible what a simple traffic stop can reveal. As an ex-cop myself, the most routine traffic stop can turn out to be anything but! People complain about them, but it's not just about collecting tickets. It's much more than that. Always prepare for the unexpected. Background checks every time, check the vehicle is roadworthy, and take action on anything even slightly suspicious!
P.S. Of course nobody remember they stopped Jeff in the car - simply because it never happened. If we will believe "fairy tale" have been told us, officers should arrest an obviously drunk driver and check vehicle inside.
As i have seen now some of “courtTV”, it`s not much common sense inside court room. In fact, everything depends on the jury's decision, and what do the jurors look at? - at the terrible photographs of the victims, at the knife 'similar to the one', the emotions of the victims' families pressure the jurors, they look at the person sitting in front of them and think 'what a scoundrel' - because everything that is said in court is inevitably perceived as relating to the defendant. The jurors are not concerned about how the DNA testing was conducted (whether honestly or dishonestly), and they often have no understanding of physics and chemistry, so they need commentary from experts.
And there was no DNA testing and no photographs (except the ones inside the apartment showing nothing unusual). Since they bypassed the need to produce any real evidence at all. Such a show.
I hate to say it, but I loved watching Jeff in the court room like "I dont care" even when that phoney family member charged at him and he didn't even flinch. I hope he's on the beach drinking an umbrella drink somewhere
Oh the scene with Rita, that looks so rehearsed:) Yes it was a completely unnatural reaction, nobody even flinches. Now compare that with real courtroom outbursts (plenty of those online). I like the idea of the beach!
For that look I actually fell in love with him, even did not notice when it happened) I was thinking in the beginning he was in huge danger and trouble, and his calm look in the court made my heart shooting stars)
Court TV is a big thing here in the states. There's so much $$$$ in it. If I take a day off work, there is 1 TV station that plays different small claims court TV shows all day. The judges are over the top actors and actresses. The plaintiffs and defendants the portray as ignorant people. I guess thats what sells here. Same with the Dahmer case. I always though something wasn't right about it. Now I'm pretty resigned in the fact that it was all about $$$ and the shock and awe brainwashing effect. Have a good one all. Mt Dew time for me. Thanks for posting.
Court TV launched with the Dahmer case too. Such a spectacle from the start. I don’t believe that justice should be portrayed like reality TV in this way, it’s so wrong. And Jeff’s case was pure spectacle. None of it was real.
The findings certainly point to that, and it's even mentioned in the FBI files how the body was left 'in a field' for a few days (amongst all the other irregularities). I also wonder if the identity of the person was really Hicks, since his original missing person reports state he was never seen again by friends or family after being dropped off to hitchhike to the concert (despite the 1991 investigation stating friends saw him at the concert - friends that were never mentioned in the original reports). The police reports state that Jeff picked him up after he left the concert.
I assume it was a car accident, it`s difficult to say what happened in details - the only fact is we have been told something else and that story is hard to believe. Interesting that in his interviews Jeff talking about Hicks death without details what we gt from court room. It looks like he mean "I picked up a hitchhiker - and then you all know what happened". But, actually, nobody knows exactly what happened this day.
Bunu geç gördüğüm için üzgünüm. Ama şimdi okudum. Harika. 😔
It's a lot to take in. But it's closer to the truth than all the other stories we have been told by the media. I also wonder if the person was truly Hicks, given that his original missing person reports state he was nenevr seen again by family and friends, after being dropped off to hitchhike to the concert. The 1991 report mentions friends saw him at the park later that day, which conflicts with the original reports.
It could be that after the policeman discovered the body in the trunk, Dahmer casually confided (thanks to the fact that he was most likely under the influence of drugs) that he had simply killed a gay man and that he hated them, knowing full well what the mentality of police officers was, especially in those years. And the policeman almost laughed it off, ignoring him and letting him go. Then, when he began to reveal the fact, he was pressured, threatened, and perhaps even beaten by the police officer who went to visit him in prison. For this reason, the story turned out to be distorted and full of inconsistencies.
Feel free to read the other articles about the Steven Hicks case, it all starts to make more sense when you piece together all the findings - there's the original 3 part series in addition to this new 3 part :)

In a nutshell. They couldn't afford to expose the truth.
Of course not. Joyce was a person who could make problems. So, her attorney was taking care about everything she say..
Exactly! I think she would have liked to reveal the truth, but it was not in her best interests.

It's just common sense, but they actually used this story in the Court TV trial too.

I love your honesty :)
He is extremely good looking. Another reason this story makes no sense. We cant help it we're human

Yes it`s a show.
100%
The math ain’t mathing in this case. Thank you for putting in all this research and bringing it to us.
Thank you! The story has more holes than a sieve, and until now, these documents have never been scrutinised. More in the pipeline! :)
It was a vehicular death, was Steven on the inside or outside of Jeff's car?

Only Jeff and his family knew the truth, indeed. I do wonder if it was really Steven Hicks too.

Evet gerçekten çok karışık ve çelişkili bir durum. Umarım en kısa sürede açığa çıkar. 😔
More has been revealed in the past few weeks than at any other time, so it means we are closer to the truth :)
Ben sana çok güveniyorum dostum. İnşallah sen bu davanın hakkından geleceksin. Ve bende bildiğim dillerde seni destekleyeceğim her daim. 🖤🫀
Thank you :) And I appreciate your support.

Sounds like Netflix tales. I doubt any Police officer could just laugh and release anybody who say he kill sombody. I doesn`t happens.
Only in the movies :) In real life, yes it cannot be ignored.
